Five Mexican Men Face Court Over Warwickshire Meth Lab

Five Mexican men face charges over an alleged meth lab on remote farmland in Warwickshire following an NCA investigation.
Five Mexican men have appeared in court accused of being involved in the production of methamphetamine at a laboratory on remote farmland in Warwickshire.
The men are accused of conspiracy to produce methamphetamine, a Class A drug, following an investigation by the UK National Crime Agency.
The five suspects are Alejandro Ambriz Dimas, 45, Victora Ramirez, 47, Fausto Beltran, 33, Lioncio Moso Borja, 37, and Jose Nunez Angolo, 44.
According to the NCA, all five were arrested on August 13 and initially appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court, where they were remanded in custody. They were due to appear at Warwickshire Crown Court on September 10.
The NCA alleges that the five men were part of a crime group manufacturing methamphetamine at a lab on remote farmland near Furnace End in Warwickshire.
The location is described by the agency as a remote site, with the investigation involving multiple emergency and law-enforcement agencies.
The NCA carried out its action at the site with support from Warwickshire Police, West Midlands Fire Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service, which was placed on standby during the operation.
Dimas, 45, is from Michoacan in southern Mexico. The other four men are from Culiacan in the Sinaloa region of northwestern Mexico.
The NCA has not alleged that the men have been convicted of producing methamphetamine. They are accused of conspiracy to produce the drug and remain defendants in the criminal proceedings.
The investigation is being handled by the National Crime Agency as part of its work targeting organised drug trafficking.
The case follows growing concern from UK law-enforcement agencies over international organised crime groups involved in the production and distribution of synthetic drugs.
All five men remain subject to the court process, and the allegations against them have not been proven.
